The fund was formally known as the Minns Fund. Andrew Minns was a founding member and Trustee of the former Scoliosis Association UK (SAUK) who amalgamated to become Scoliosis Support and Research. He left money to set up a fund to support those affected by scoliosis. In 2018, Mrs Patricia Hill and Mrs Daphne Pedder, who were two of our long term members and supporters, passed away and also left funds in their Wills. Part of this legacy has been added to the Minns Fund to ensure we can support even more people living with scoliosis who are in need of financial support.
Who can apply? Community members of Scoliosis Support and Research (SSR) affected by scoliosis. You can join to become a community member HERE.
Small grants are available to those who require equipment, travel expenses to appointments or other scoliosis related financial support. The maximum amount granted is £500 and applicants can only apply once per year. Currently, we can fund only NHS-related requirements and cannot fund costs related to private treatment.
Completed application forms should be sent by email to info@ssr.org.uk or by post to Scoliosis Support and Research, Ground Floor, 329 Latimer Road, W10 6RA
